On The Local: Jobs Are Top Priority

alt I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: Jobs are the nation’s number one priority.

The nation has lost an estimated 8 million jobs over the past couple years. Today, one in every 10 Americans is out of work; and in the construction field that number is even higher. Some people have been out of work for more than a year. How did we get into this mess and how are we going to get out of it?

The President’s Report: Job Ready

altAlong with Business Manager Tim Foley, I join in applauding President Obama’s focus on the need for jobs in his State of the Union address. Mr. Southers is a former F.B.I. agent and police detective; he also studied Israel’s counter terrorism program at the invitation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Israeli Defense. With these credentials, Mr. Southers was more than qualified for the job.
